Ways to promote a blog has become the most complex question for a bloggers mind. Specially, the newbie’s loss a hell lot of time thinking this crap. I have mentioned this is a crap but if you think well this is not.
Promoting blog means driving real traffic and making people aware of your blog. Without real traffic your blog is in nowhere. You can’t earn if you don’t have traffic. Most importantly you make a blog for people to read and gather knowledge. I know after reading the last sentence you are laughing, specially the professional people. Because you think who’s going to make a blog for distributing some knowledge to the readers, a professional webmaster only think about money or earnings.
Here it comes this is the thought which is not letting people to do a good business with blog. Now you can ask me why? The answer is if like to earn you got have a good blog with decent traffic. And if you want to make a good blog then there must be three characteristics present in your blog. They are
1. The blog must be resourceful (This means there must be enough resource reading which readers can learn something)
2. The blog must be reader friendly (You should use common words)
3. The blog must be informative
If you have these three characters in your blog your blog is an excellent one.
Now comes to promotion part. I have seen from my experience that promotion takes time but if you keep it doing your success is must. I am giving some tips to promote a blog is given bellow. Read those carefully.
1. Submit your site or blog to social bookmark sites like Dig, Delicious, Twitter, Diigo, Stumbleupon, reddit etc. regularly.
2. Submit your site or blog to web directories
3. Submit articles with your link to article directories like ezinearticles
4. Make an attractive/eye-catching logo and make it clickable by putting your link in it.
5. Put clickable logo of your site or blog in forum signature and try to post more comments and threads in blogging section of the forums.
6. Put clickable logo at the bottom of the greetings of every massage (like pm’s in forum, e-mail etc.) you send.
7. Buys some links and banner ads in a good traffic side (I prefer free directories because they get huge traffic easily)
8. Put your link in your niche related sides
This is all I have got. I think If you follow the given techniques then there I think that can drive a good amount of traffic easily and at the same time it also create enough backlink to get a decent PR (Google Page Rank).
Now if you have a decent PR and traffic together who’s going to stop you to earn huge revenue from your blog or site? I think the answer is no one.
