// August 10th, 2009 // Webmaster Resource
Wordpress comments are ‘Nofollow’ by default. I know reading the last line many of wordpress users are thinking I am mad or not. No guys and girls I not mad. It is true that wordpress comments are ‘Nofollow’ by default. I just became aware of the fact that wordpress comments are ‘Nofollow’ by default a few days back. I also thought that the writer is kidding. But when I checked I saw he is absolutely right.
I felt really sorry for me. I thought that I was the only wordpress user who does not know about this. But I was wrong. I found out there are many people like me who is still ignorant about this fact that comments in wordpress are ‘Nofollow’ by default. So I have decided to publish an article on this to let people know about this fact.
Then I have found out the way to remove the ‘Nofollow’ attribute. This is very simple. Just use plugin. I am describing the steps how to add the plugin and remove ‘Nofollow’ attribute from your wordpress blog.
The steps are:
• At first go to cpanel and log in with your user name and password
• Then go to file manager
• Inside file manager you will find a folder named public html
• Inside public html you will see a folder named wp-content
• Inside wp-content folder you will find a folder named plugins
• nofollw attribute plugin for wordpress” or you can download the plugin directly from here http://kimmo.suominen.com/sw/dofollow/dofollow.php
• After downloading the plugin just upload the plugin into the folder named plugins. Just upload the root folder of the plugin.
• Then go to wordpress admin panel of your blog and go to plugin section
• Now you can see the plugin uploaded earlier
• Just click on the active button to activate the plugin.
This is it. Now just go back and check. You will find your ‘Nofollow’ attribute is removed. I hope this post will help you a lot.
